We understand the importance of a comfortable, machine washable and durable cap; our early prototypes were tried and tested by bike courier friends in order to come up with a perfect fit. They endured life in a messenger bag, were thrown in the wash and worn through all weathers.
These early caps were often bought as prizes for scavenger hunts and alleycat races…
Alleyhats for Alleycats!
Each cap is designed, made and hand finished by Kate, a costume maker and tailor by trade, who loves to get out on her bike. As an advocate of the slow fashion movement, she always makes in small batches in order to avoid the wastage that occurs when bulk buying or over producing.
Our cycling cap range now offers: three sizes for adults and two for children, a winter style, our made to order ‘Create You Own’ range and ‘The Grafter’; a workwear style for when you’re off the bike.
